With up to 12 cores and boost speeds of up to 5.1 GHz, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 compiles a Linux kernel in just 84.63 seconds—25% faster than the previous-generation Ryzen 9 7940HS. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 also delivers a 22% improvement in Geekbench 6 multi-core performance on Windows 11.

Framework Laptop 16 is a playground for those who want full control over their machine. With hot-swappable Input Modules, you can choose a Numpad, RGB Macropad, LED Matrix Module, or Spacers in a range of colors. Select your Keyboard from a variety of languages and layouts, including RGB, and place it exactly where you want. Our Expansion Card system lets you decide what ports you need and where they go, while color options like lavender and orange Bezels let you add your own personal touch.

Expansion Cards

External adapters are a thing of the past. The Framework Expansion Card system lets you choose exactly the ports you want and where you want them. Framework Laptop 16 comes with 6 Expansion Card slots, now with simultaneous display output supported on four slots.

Privacy

Your privacy is protected at the hardware level, with physical switches that electrically cut off the webcam and microphones whenever you need.

Display

The Framework Laptop 16 features a vibrant 2560×1600 display with 100% DCI-P3 color, up to 165Hz variable refresh rate, 9ms response time, and a sharp 1500:1 contrast ratio, all topped off with an impressive 500nit brightness. The second-generation panel also supports G-Sync for ultra-smooth gameplay.

Keyboard

Choose from a range of layouts and languages. Most include a Framework logo super key—no Windows logo in sight. Every Framework Laptop 16 Keyboard features per-key RGB lighting, 1.5mm key travel, and open-source QMK firmware for full reprogrammability.

Speakers

Stereo bi-amp speakers deliver clear, balanced sound, powered by a smart amp for an enhanced audio experience.

Battery

The 85Wh battery is designed to retain 80% capacity at 1,000 cycles, and you can replace it whenever you choose.

Networking

Connectivity is faster than ever with an AMD RZ717 Wi-Fi 7 module, delivering next-gen speed and reliability.

Open source ecosystems

This product isn’t ours, it’s yours. We’ve opened design files and documentation on GitHub for Input Modules (powered by QMK firmware on the Raspberry Pi RP2040), the Expansion Bay system, Expansion Cards, embedded controller firmware, and more, all under open source licenses.
